For the past several months Dustin and I have been attending parent education seminars through our adoption agency. We met some fabulous people, all of us in various stages of the adoption process. We decided that our 3-hour classes didn't leave enough time to get to know each other and kavetch about the "wait" so we started meeting before class each month for dinner. A few weeks ago, two of our friends from this group (Deborah and Darrell) returned home with their daughter and on Monday night we all got together to meet Rui Rui and Alex, their son. I don't know how Deb and Darrell managed to find time to eat their dinner because there were three or four different conversations going on at once. It was great getting the inside scoop and we enjoyed hearing about their thoughts and experiences regarding China.
