What's Next?

Where are we at and where are we going? Well, right now we are waiting for our agency to receive our Travel Approval (TA). Once we have received approval from the Chinese government to come and get Jin Xin, then our agency will schedule a Consulate Appointment (CA) for us. This is where we will get Jin Xin's Visa in order to bring him home to the United States. Once the date for the CA has been set, we will be able to make our travel arrangements and book our plane tickets!! Hopefully our TA and CA will come in the next couple of weeks.

Last night we started our Care Package to Jin Xin. To start with, we are filling a padded photo album with a few pictures of us, his room, his house, and his grandparents. Did you know the Chinese have a different names for maternal grandfather and grandmother, versus paternal grandpa and grandma? We hope that he will look at the pictures and slowly learn to recognize us. We've been told that some caregivers will point out mama and baba in the pictures to the child each day. One of our friends has even told us that the child has found comfort in the book even when they got home. (Who are these new people!? Oh, they're in the book!)

Who wants to play legos??

He is just going to love that room!!! We brought playdough last year and your son just loved it. He loved to stack the cans and knock them down. The Nannies will show him your pictures everyday. Where do you all live?
