Our final full day in China.
It's 2:00 p.m. and we have to meet at 2:45 to go to the Consulate for our Oath. All our paperwork has been done, so, it's just a formality. Tonight we're going to brave a dinner on a boat cruise. Hopefully Mason will do ok on it.
Sorry the blog hasn't been updated much, but it takes too much time to go around the firewall. However, we've been updating pictures whenever possible (much easier doing that!)
So, since we've been to Guangzhou, we have been to the Pearl Market, a street market, a Buddhist Temple, a Thai Garden, and a Folk Art Academy.
Wish us luck tomorrow on our 2 flights. One to Beijing, and the 13 hour one back to Chicago & Madison. Somehow, I don't think we'll be upgraded to Business Class again...

Wow! It's hard to believe you're heading back to the States already (although it probably feels like it's about time for you). Blessings on your journey--oh, and the firewall allows blogger today! :)
Your Guangzhou pictures bring it all back for me! It's great to revisit some of same streets and sights that we saw three years ago. I even recognize the medical exam room!
Good luck on your journey home. Bob and I will drop off some food for you a few days after you get back -- or whenever is convenient for you. It's going to take you a little while to adjust to the time change, so we don't want to bother you too soon after your arrival.
I hope it's going well. Just remember: it gets better and better, and easier!
Love,
Claire
I have to agree with Claire, the sights of Guangzhou bring back a lot of happy memories. The happiness on all your faces is absolutely priceless. What a beautiful family! I have a feeling the lines for playdates will be quite long! Thank you for sharing your amazing journey with us and safe travels as you make your way back home.
Congrats!
