Letters From Home

I've been back at work for a week now. It's great to get out of the house and relax my mind from the constant pressure of keeping Mason out of the Clorox, yet entertained, fed, and not crying. But after an hour, all I can think about is going back home to be with him, experience his next big new thing, and get lots of hugs & kisses, laughs & giggles.

So it was wonderful to get this email from Heather today:

He fell asleep for his nap in four minutes. That has to be a record. We went up and he pointed to the bed and wanted to lay down right away (11:57 am) and at 12:01 I was on my way downstairs to get some laundry going. :)

We went to the park this morning. Didn't make it to Pick N Save, so if you could get some stamps, that would be great. Otherwise I can run out when you get home.

He was great at the park. He wanted to swing on each swing. We'd get done with one, and then he'd point to the one next to him and want to get on that one too. We did all four. He even crawled through the tunnel a few times and ... (drum roll)... went down the slide by himself... 3 times. He even rode with another 4 year old on that car-shaped rocker thing. Every day he gets a little braver. He even almost petted a dog. Not quite there on that one yet. :)

Love ya,
Heather

My clock says 3:44 p.m.
I bet I can sneak out of here in about 15 minutes...

Hi! Thanks so much for sharing pictures of Mason & for writing about your experiences with him! I've so enjoyed everything you've said & esp. the photos of Mason--such a darling little boy who looks so happy in his new home. Isn't it a marvel that he is adjusting to a new country, new language, new parents, cats, dogs, etc, etc? He is truly a very bright little boy!
Love to you all! Aunt Carol
