Mason woke up at midnight last night, just as I was getting ready for bed. Dustin headed back to work today, so that meant I got to stay up with the little guy. We had a midnight snack and played until about 2 am before heading back to bed. This is only the second time we've had a night like this since having Mason and he is typically a very good sleeper. He goes down without much fuss and will play with his stuffed monster until he falls asleep.
Mason has really attached to Dustin, so I was a bit worried about how today would go, with Dustin being back at work. Other than whining a bit when it was time to change him and get dressed for the day, it has been going better than I expected. Hopefully the rest of the week will go just as well.
We've been sticking close to home for the most part and have only had two real outings, once to the doctor's office for his physical and the second to Culver's. The trip to Culver's was an effort to try to get him used to the car seat. He doesn't really like being strapped in, but of course on the trip to and from Culver's he was just fine.
The doctor's visit went very well. Well, aside from him crying most of the time anyway. He weighed in at 30 lb 12 oz (50%) and is 37 1/4 inches tall (75%). Some of you have asked about what size he is... he is currently wearing 24 month and 2T clothing. I imagine with the way he's eating, he'll be growing fast though. He had four eggs in one sitting just a couple days ago and loves his rice noodle soup. He's a big fruit and meat eater too.

He is just the cutest little boy I have ever seen! I hope I get to meet him when I return to WI this summer!
