Thanks to everyone that came to our Open House on Saturday. I feel bad for those that had to leave early because Mason was still pretty shy at that time.
But after the clock struck 4 the house was rocking with kids running around, screaming, and playing. One kid would giggle, and and it would be so infectious that all the kids would be giggling.
At one point, Mason's room was the place to be, and it sounded like a party was going on up there! The only thing missing was a stereo blasting a loud bass beat. And if that wasn't crazy enough, THEN cake was served. We attached little rockets to each kid and let them zoom around in the air!
Eventually someone would have to leave the party, and all the kids would hang out at the front window screaming GOOD BYE so loud the whole neighborhood had to have heard. It was even fun for the child leaving because they would be getting all these goodbyes and waves, so they would also scream GOOD BYE back, and even do a little dance in the yard for all those watching. Then the next kid could would have to leave, and we'd start all over again!
Heather and I know we were quite distracted on that day, and didn't get to talk to everyone like we wished we could have. Hopefully everyone can forgive us - especially to those we haven't seen in quite a while, and those that traveled the furthest. Some day when things settle down to normal (is that possible?) we'll see you again and catch up with you 1 on 1. We also did a terrible job introducing everyone. Either we were too busy, or had sudden fits of amnesia with names! If you'd like to see who you met Saturday, click on these links:
Group 1, Group 2, Ruby, Josie, Violet, Sarina.
As the day was over, and we started cleaning up, I found all the bottled waters I stuck in the freezer but forgot about. (They're still thawing!) I figure if that's the worst thing that happened, then I have no complaints. Mason ended the day by pointing upstairs and saying, "Dou Dou shway la". (Dou Dou sleep now)
Gladly.
Me too.
Thanks everyone!
